Pretty in pink. One of most colourful Phal species around, it is scented. A must in any collection. A primary hybrid with lueddemanniana as one of the parents Phalaenopsis Chienlung Luedgiana (corningiana x lueddemanniana)
Cross between Phalaenopsis Veitchiana x Phalaenopsis stuartiana. Veitchiana is a natural hybrid between equestris and schilleriana. Very nice flat flower easy to grow and flower easily
Standard equestris. They guys are great small, colourful and floriferous. Because of these traits they are used in so many different hybrids.
Small, pretty easy to grow and purple. Oh, I love purple… Vicki Vale I grow all of my parishiis mounted water daily in a room that at 75-85%% humidity.
There are rumours that we grow other types of orchids other that Phals. We want to put these rumours to bed, We grow nothing but phals. See here a Phal Cattmondo . Looks like it may have some amabilis for the white and parishii for the lip colour in its background. Phal Smellinice hard to ...
Phalaenopsis violacea I absolutely love this one! Smells like cinnamon.
Phalaenopsis gigantea Very small plant, I was surprised it bloomed. Leaves are only 8-9 inches long.
I am a Phal species I am a little on the big side Who am I
Phalaenopsis bellina(‘Ingrid Ohh’ x ‘joy’) Great form, colour and fragrance!
Happy Halloween from The gang at This Side of Paradise
Named for its markings, they remind me more of leopard spots than hieroglyphics. Guess you can’t change a phals spots!
A yellow background on this amboinensis makes it particulary striking. The leaves are a massive 16 inches long.
Did someone say Phal seedlings? We’ve been busy deflasking of late, mostly species and primaries. This breeding program has been three years in the making.
Phalaenopsis violacea Just a standard violacea nothing special. But there is nothing ordinary about violaceas, they smell fantastic and they have a intense colour.
Phalaenopsis venosa I love the smell of bacon in the morning. Forget sweet smelling flowers this bad boy smells of smoked meat, making it a favorite of mine.
Decided to try mounting a flask of Phalaenopsis pulcherrima on lava rock and on coral. They are both sitting in a tray of water.
We have been requested by our customers to do more species flasks. Of course we got right on it and I thought we would demonstrate some of size and shape differences between several species seed pods. From top to bottom: Phal. lindenii Phal. pallens Phal. cornu cervi var forma chattalada Phal. fimbriata Phal. amabillis var ...
