My plants are only about 8 years old so their leaves are not that large but this species can have leaves that live up to it’s name and be up to 90cm long. Two plants in bloom in the pinkhouse today.
We will not be at the SOOS( Toronto) orchid show this year, we were informed that they are full and have no more room for additional vendors. We will be reaching out to all of you that placed pre-orders to find suitable accommodations. However we shall be at the OSRBG (Burlington) orchid show on Feb ...
Nothing beats spend an afternoon working in the “pinkhouse” when it is freezing outside.
It may be winter but I still have my slice of paradise. -10c outside, +20c on the inside.
This cross between Epidendrum magnoliae x Brassavola nodosa is a highly scented miniature. The lip is highly influenced by nodosa but the size of the plant by the magnoliae. We will have these for sale at the winter shows.
Named because its patterns resemble Egyptian hieroglyphs. I think the petal on the left says “eat Tuna sushi it is yummy”.
Cross between belina and lueddemanniana. Strongly scented flat flower.

Flasking two new phal primary hybrid seed pods. In about 2 years they will be big enough to share. What a slow process! Phal lobbbi x deliciosa subsp. hookeriana Phal cornu-cervi var. sanguinea x javanica I think I enjoy wearing my gear a little too much.
Love the colour, wish it was not peloric.

This is a miniature version of the species, leaves are full grown at less than 2 inches and much rounder than the typical species. The normal leaf size for this species is 4-6 inches. For reference the pot is 3 inches wide
Lots to do now that the weather has started to turn. Insulating the door, closing the vents and adding much need lights(it gets bloody dark in the winter). For next weekend: -extra insulation on the vent -removing the shadecloth from the exterior and bringing it into the inside. Panorama shot
Random red barring of this make every flower unique.
Couple Phal lobbii in bloom, Really easy to grow and bloom. Nice choice for a beginner miniature phal species.
Glossy and thick substance to the petals make this a beautiful flower. Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi forma chattaladae

Creamy off white flower with soft pink markings. Uber fuzzy lip! The flower tends to look downwards and blooms below the leaves, which make them hard to find sometimes. I almost missed these!
